Like many of Two Beers Brewing’s devoted fans, Brent Miles had his first taste of Two Beers Brewing from a kegerator at the brewery’s original ActivSpace location in Fremont. Introduced to Two Beers Brewing by painting co-workers Dan and Justin – who are again his co-workers at Two Beers Brewing – Brent became a quick advocate, seeking out the brewery’s taps around town and talking it up to whoever would listen.
Nearly four years later, Brent is on his second stint as a cellar hand, tasting room personality and delivery guy at Two Beers Brewing. First hired in May of 2011, Brent worked at the brewery until the end of September when he decided to take a once-in-a-lifetime trip to teach English in France. After eight months of teaching and traveling – with his favorite adventure including a trip to Istanbul – Brent rejoined the team in June of 2012. His reason for returning? “The people, both inside and outside the brewery. I love my coworkers, and the camaraderie that develops after 15-hour canning days and brewery mishaps. But I also enjoy getting to know the regulars who come into the tasting room and the bar owners to whom I deliver kegs. People who work in the beer industry and who like beer are generally likable people.”
Born near Toronto, Canada, Brent moved to Fort Collins, Colorado – where he played competitive hockey for seven years – before settling in Seattle. When he finds free time, Brent prefers to travel, search out great happy hours, read classic literature and books on medieval history, and – of course – dance at house parties.
