Looking for a change of pace, this New England native spent his first few months after graduating from college backpacking through the Appalachians before landing in Seattle. Once in the Pacific Northwest, Andy fell in love with the abundance of local beer and was quickly introduced to home brewing by his roommates. Little did he know it would soon become a full time gig.
One summer day while working for SoDo-based Grand Central Bakery, Andy noticed a bunch of people sitting on the docks outside of Two Beers Brewing. Given his curiosity and love of craft beer, Andy promptly pulled over, walked in and a good man by the name of Dan poured him an Evo IPA.
Now an assistant brewer at Two Beers Brewing, Andy started off canning when help was needed before joining the team fulltime in the beginning of 2012. Getting to work with his hands and have something to show for it at the end of the day are just some of the things Andy enjoys about working at the brewery. “I love the genuine people, the great brew, the focus on local and the love for the outdoors. There’s no place I’d rather be.”
Growing up just north of Boston in Westford, Mass., Andy attended school at the University of Massachusetts Amherst before making his way to the Pacific Northwest. When not at the brewery, he hits the road and heads for the trails. Andy also enjoys biking, visiting local farmers markets and enjoying some down home cooking.
